Best Employee Engagement Winner: Citizens Business Bank

Engaging employees is a never-ending challenge for HR, but Citizens Business Bank has used Awardco to great effect. They added recognition into their robust engagement strategy, and the results have been noteworthy:

  • 97% participation rate in annual engagement survey
  • 4.11 engagement score on the survey
  • 150% increase in employee participating in quarterly wellness programs
  • 200+% increase in value-driven award nominations.

How did they accomplish such sweeping engagement numbers, specifically on their new recognition platform? They:

  • Make sure to recognize and reward each new hire on the platform
  • Build custom recognition programs around their core values to drive desired behaviors
  • Recognize every single work anniversary and offer monetary recognition for milestone anniversaries
  • Host custom wellness incentives and challenges that reward employees for participating

We’re proud to give the Best Employee Engagement Recognize Award to Citizens Business Bank!

Best Offline Program Winner: Lineage Logistics

Lineage Logistics’ Sunnyvale location has made great strides in spreading their culture of recognition and appreciation to all of their employees—which is easier said than done, considering 85% of their workforce are frontline or warehouse workers who aren’t in front of computers often.

To accomplish this, they kicked implementation off with a raffle competition. Users who logged in and activated their accounts were entered in for a chance to win prizes. This led to a 100% login rate!

But that’s not all Lineage Logistics did. Leadership got in on the fun, using their monthly lunch-and-learns to focus on the Awardco platform and how to recognize. They were able to provide login instructions, strategies, and one-on-one assistance for any who needed it.

To top everything off, Lineage Logistics also built an onboarding program to ensure every new hire learns about Awardco and how to recognize, regardless of how often they’re on a computer. These efforts have led to:

  • 133% increase in recognitions YOY
  • 81% increase in number of people recognized YOY

We’re proud to present Lineage Logistics with the Recognize Award for Best Offline Program!

Best Change Management Winner: Children’s Nebraska

After their 2023 Employee Engagement Survey revealed that only 63% of employees felt recognized, Children’s Nebraska saw an opportunity. And while implementing a new recognition platform in the busy healthcare industry shouldn’t be easy, Children’s Nebraska made it look simple with their change management strategy!

Their first priority before implementation was to hold 1:1 training sessions with every executive leader to build excitement and get buy-in. Due to this effort to clearly communicate their goals, methods, and desired impact, the Administration/Executive Team has given the most recognitions out of everyone so far.

To aid in change management, Children’s Nebraska also built and implemented custom recognition programs to highlight the unique nature of the healthcare industry, including:

  • A Sunshine Spirit Week with daily recognition prompts
  • Well-being programs and incentives
  • New employee onboarding program
  • Safety program that awards those who catch safety errors
  • Program that allows their therapy dogs to “recognize”
  • Monthly value-driven recognition award for one giver and receiver

We’re happy to announce Children’s Nebraska as the winner of the Best Change Management Recognize Award!

Best Recognition Strategy Winner: Alera Group

Alera Group has built their culture around “The Collaborative Way,” and its principles, and their goal with Awardco was to boost the principle of Acknowledge and Appreciate. Their recognition strategy has been to focus on appreciation and gratitude, and it’s been a smashing success.

First off, Alera Group rebranded “recognition” to “appreciation” on their platform and in their communications. While a small change, it’s reinforced their core values and created a strong foundation of appreciation to build on.

Additionally, Alera Group uses their Collaborative Way Champions to model timely, specific, and genuine appreciation, and they also make sure to discuss Awardco at their trainings and workshops

Through these efforts to make recognition and appreciation a core part of their culture, Alera Group has seen some amazing results:

  • 85% of employee would recommend Alera Group as a great place to work
  • 83% of employees feel valued for their contributions
  • 70% of employees feel they receive appropriate recognition for their efforts

We’re excited to award Alera Group with the Recognize Award for Best Recognition Strategy!
